Light the Night

It is part of our Savvy Skirts mission to help the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

light the nightWe lost a very close Girlfriend, Vicki, to lymphoma in 2003 and our lives will never quite be the same. Vicki never really knew she was sick, or had cancer for that matter, for she had only been told by doctors she was anemic. Shortly thereafter, she slipped into a state of unconsciousness and passed away from what doctors later found was lymphoma. It all happened so fast, and next thing we all knew our dear Girlfriend, Mom of a precious 2 year old, wife, working girl, sister, and daughter was stricken by this horrible blood cancer and passed away in a very short time. Vicki was the picture of health in her mid 30's, and a beautiful, young, busy working mom like most women. When talking to her -- she only ever complained about the same things most women (and new moms) complain about, which was being tired and not having enough energy to do everything. But then again, she was a powerful multi-tasker...sound familiar?

Savvy Skirts wants to support finding a cure to these horrible blood cancers. In doing so, we have joined Partners for Cancer Cures with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). In memory of Vicki and other families affected by leukemia & lymphoma, Savvy Skirts will continue to make contributions to the LLS. We offer the following programs:

  • Girl Baskets - 10% of all Girl Basket sales are donated to the LLS.
  • Start a walk team in your area! Get details here.

Help Savvy Skirts in our endless support of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society!

We miss you so very much, Vicki!
